Role : Head –Cloud Sales
Location – Mumbai
Reporting to Chief Business Officer
Key Relationships Internal: Sales & delivery teams, Vigyaan labs
External: Customers, partners
Context of the role:
Protean is looking for a head (product head) to develop and run the cloud (product) business. Thus, the candidate is expected to understand the technology trends, have good understanding of what is required to adopt cloud, excellent penetration into market to reach a large number of customers and convince / pursue them to adopt Protean cloud. Candidate will be assisted by existing relationships with large number of customers specifically in BFSI space.
Proven capability of building alteast 100 Cr per annum in cloud / MSP.
Technically prudent to understand technology adoption by customers, eye on identifying potential to introduce new technology. Has ears in market to guage needs of market and aptly communicate to technology products team.
Has energy to compete the big international players.
In line with India’s Growth story – needs good connect and spreads with channel partner ecosystem in 2nd and 3rd tier cities.
Excellent understanding of Cloud based Managed Services.
Should be actively participating in Industry Forums related to cloud and cloud adoption across different domains.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Envision, architect and drive the cloud infrastructure business with focus on Cloud computing IaaS and PaaS
- Devise and implement product, pricing and go-to-market strategies for the cloud product suite.
- Build and deploy long term and short-term business strategies for enterprise and public sector clients
- Lead strategic efforts & develop effective processes to cross-sell & and upsell Protean offerings.
Sales Management
- Manage the entire business life cycle from strategy, sales management, operations and service delivery
- Prospect, qualify leads, nurture relationships with both potential and existing clients
- Possess negotiation skills to provide win-win solutions for the organization and client needs
- Translate business requirements and work with engineering teams to develop custom solutions
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, create and train in-house teams to help customers drive transformation to cloud for their businesses by enabling them to be more innovative, agile and customer-centric
- Achieve sales volume, profitability, revenue and drive overall P&L for the business
- Set goals, establish timelines, manage risk, create and stick to budgets, delegate tasks, and manage team
- Ensure best practices and compliance standards are upheld across development and delivery teams
KRA
- P&L/ revenue for Enterprise Cloud business
- Identify Product-Market Fit and give vital inputs to developing technology and product capabilities
- Build MSP business as a vertical within cloud
- Drive the cloud business Cloud computing IaaS and PaaS
- Product, pricing and go to market for the cloud product suite.
