Job Overview: The Service Management Lead (Pre-Sales & RFP Response) is responsible for managing IT service-related components in RFP responses, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices. This role requires expertise in ITIL frameworks, service design, cost optimization, and stakeholder engagement to develop compelling, competitive proposals.
Also should have 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing the architecture for Security Operations Centers (SOC) and Application NOC. This role focuses on integrating monitoring, detection, and response mechanisms for operational issues, ensuring seamless operations across enterprise IT infrastructure and IT Application.
The Service Management Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create winning proposals by defining service strategies, SLAs, governance models. The role demands strong analytical skills, customer-centric thinking, and the ability to articulate complex service solutions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

- RFP & Pre-Sales Support:
- Lead the development of IT service management sections for RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses.
- Define service delivery models, SLAs, governance frameworks, and service improvement plans.
- Collaborate with solution architects, sales, and delivery teams to design comprehensive service solutions.
- Develop IT operational readiness plans for proposed solutions.
- Ensure smooth handover from pre-sales to delivery teams post-contract award.
- Define service onboarding, change management, and steady-state service operations processes.
- Present and defend service strategies, SLAs, and service management approaches to customers.
- Act as the key point of contact for all service-related discussions in proposal efforts.
- Ensure all service solutions comply with ITIL, ISO 20000, and regulatory requirements.
- Define risk management and compliance strategies for IT service offerings.
- Conduct regular reviews to align proposed solutions with industry best practices.
- Architecture Design and Strategy:
- Design and implement the architecture for SOC and NOC (application) operations, ensuring integration of security monitoring, threat detection, application monitoring, and incident response.
- Develop comprehensive architecture solutions for monitoring tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM, and application performance monitoring platforms.
- Create and refine operational playbooks, workflows, and escalation procedures for both SOC and NOC (application) teams to enhance incident management and system performance.
- SOC/NOC Tools and Technology Integration:
- Evaluate and integrate application monitoring and security monitoring tools, such as SIEM systems, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and application performance management solutions.
- Ensure compatibility and seamless integration of monitoring tools across different environments, including on-premise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures.
- Lead the selection and implementation of automation and orchestration tools to streamline incident detection, response, and remediation in both SOC and NOC (application).
- Security and Application Incident Management:
- Architect solutions for threat intelligence, event correlation, and anomaly detection, ensuring real-time response to security incidents.
- Define and implement strategies for incident detection, analysis, triage, and mitigation, establishing robust escalation paths and communication channels.
- Implement automation for repetitive tasks within SOC/-Application NOC operations to improve response times and reduce human error.
- Lead the development of Machine Learning (ML) or Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based solutions to enhance proactive threat detection and application issue forecasting.
Must Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT service management, pre-sales, and RFP response development.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and service lifecycle management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for proposal writing and client presentations.
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or Jira Service Management.
- Ability to structure service cost models and assess commercial feasibility.
- Deep understanding of SOC and NOC operations, with knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, threat intelligence platforms, and application performance management.
- Working experience in Application NOC and SOC. Strong understanding of compliance standards relevant to SOC/NOC operations.
- (B.E. / B. Tech / M. Tech / MCA) + MBA. Degrees shall be from reputed institutes.
- Certifications: ITIL-Expert, CASM, ISO 20000 Lead Implementer Certification, APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals).
