| Job Profile | VMWare + Windows+ Backup – Manager. Perform upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages (i.e. VMware, Windows services, or other enterprise apps) as necessary. Installation, Configuration, Administration and Upgrade Windows OS , ESX-host Hyper-V Administrator Performing backups, troubleshooting and problem resolution for servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure. Maintain, upgrade, and implement improvements to the VMWare ESXI infrastructure. Problem-solving skills New technology evaluations ands-on experience on CIS OS hardening. Performs technical analysis, installation, maintenance and modification of operating system software. Troubleshoots and resolves problems and monitors system performance while simultaneously support staff engaged in similar efforts. Design, develop and maintain automation of VMWARE infrastructure management. Design installation, management and routine upgrades of VMWARE infrastructure. Document the architecture and all procedures; prepare guidelines for other teams working with the platform. Technical consultancy to Customers to support an application on virtual platform. Maintain devices inventory record and keep tracking of devices AMC & Licenses renewal. Diagnosis of VMware performance and perform VMware performance tuning. Advantage to see good knowledge on Linux & Cloud Platform. Review completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and make recommendations to management and/or clients. Work independently and receive minimal guidance on work assignments. Schedules and perform VMware installations, patching and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established SLA and procedures. Analyze and execute VMware performance tuning strategies Excellent knowledge of clustering & high availability, VMotion, DRS Good knowledge of external Disk Arrays, RAID levels, NFS. Good knowledge of SAN architecture, multi-pathing, WWNs, iSCSI Excellent knowledge of networking – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT/PAT, VLANs Great passion to learn and quick learner. High feasibility and able to adapt to change quickly. Comprehensive knowledge of basic computer hardware and software fundamentals.Should have good knowledge on Automation (PowerShell, python, etc.)Experience of Team Handling is necessary.Should have strong follow-ups with Vendors for issues and resolutionsSelf-Motivated and able to take initiatives for improvementsShould have good Oral and written communication skillsShould be able to co-ordinate with different stakeholders and perform tasks in hand effectively and efficiently.Hands on experience for CommVault backup configuration and trouble shooting. Develop and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with networking, storage, software development, and project management teams Fine Tuning and Automation of ESX Environment Integration with various tools like, Nagios, RPA, EMS, OEM Tools. General: Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation etc.Able to work independently or as part of a team.Works under pressure and is able to manage competing priorities.Meets or exceeds expectations on process turnaround for assigned tasks and follow ups, and issue resolution to closure.Shall be flexible with time Should able to extend working hours in case of any critical production systems issues. |
